6 Tips for Safer Walking and Running

Many people are enjoying the warmer weather by walking and running outdoors.  If you are one of them, keep these 6 personal safety tips in mind:

  • Never walk alone and always let someone know where you are going.

  • When jogging or walking, be aware of your surroundings.

  • If listening to music, keep the volume low enough to hear surrounding noises.

  • Avoid areas where visibility is poor.

  • Wear reflective material at night.

  • Trust your instincts. Don't walk where you feel uncomfortable.
