6 Tips to Keep Your Valuables, and You, Safe at Parks

Park Safety Tips photo.JPG

We have a few reminders of ways to enhance everyone’s safety while enjoying the warmer weather and longer days that will arrive with Spring. As more people head outdoors, visit parks, and become more active, follow these tips to help keep your valuables, and yourself, safe:

  • Always lock your vehicle.

  • Don't leave valuable items in plain view inside of your car. Leave them at home or lock them in your trunk prior to arriving at your destination.

  • Park in well lit, heavily traveled areas if possible.

  • When you approach your car, have your key ready.

  • Carry a cellphone in the event you need assistance.

  • Trust your instincts. Don't walk where you feel uncomfortable.
