Detention Technician (Part Time) Employment Information

The Detention Unit is responsible for the intake, subsequent supervision, and care of prisoners. Detention personnel are responsible for a variety of data entries. They also assist the citizens of Raytown by taking reports on a variety of minor crimes and traffic accidents.

 

This part time position allows up to 30 hours per week per employee and we are looking to hire multiple people in this role. The salary for this position is $15.30/hr. No benefits are provided for part time personnel. Training will be conducted in-house. The schedule is variable; this position will be filling in where needed. 

 

The Raytown Police Department applicant screening process consists of the following steps:

 

  • Application Form & Employment Questionnaire (Must be submitted together. CLICK on each to open)

  • Written Examination

  • Background Investigation

  • C.V.S.A. Examination

  • Oral Board Interview

  • Conditional Offer of Employment

  • Medical Examination

  • Psychological Examination
